What is the CHILDREN MUNICIPAL COUNCIL?

The creation of the Municipal Council for Children (CME) of the City of Fumay was born from the will of the “Rassemblement de Gauche” list during the municipal elections of 2008, in order to allow the free expression of children and their participation. to the life of the city.

A real training tool for the citizens of tomorrow,

its aim is to make Fumacian students into “young citizens” in their own right.

Concerns students attending schools in Fumay-Center, Fumay-Charnois in CE2, CM1 and CM2.

Several objectives:

• Participate in the life of the municipality

• Concretely influence their living environment

• Collectively develop a project leading to tangible achievements

• Familiarize yourself with democratic apparatus and processes

Some examples of projects and achievements that can be carried by the CME:

• Prevention and road safety: partnership with the Municipal Police; be a pedestrian; safety in public transport ; ...
